to active engagement

Every Aberdino engagement follows the same five steps.
There are no surprises, no hidden stages, and no pressure at any point.

Discovery Call

A 30-minute conversation about your situation and priorities. No pitch. We listen more than we talk.

Proposal

If we are a good fit, a clear written proposal within three business days: scope, model, timeline, and pricing.

Diagnostic

Every engagement begins with a focused audit. Within two weeks, you have a clear picture of where you are and what to prioritise.

SOTA plan

Your marketing plan built on the SOTA framework. Every initiative anchored to a commercial outcome.

Embedded and live

We begin working alongside your team. Embedded, hands-on, and fully accountable from day one.

to know before you call

What is the minimum commitment?

For day rate work, there is no minimum — you can book a single day. For monthly retainers, the minimum is three months, which gives enough time to see meaningful commercial progress. Transformation programmes are scoped individually with a defined timeline agreed upfront.

Do you work across different industries?

Yes. Aberdino has delivered results across professional services, SaaS, EdTech, technology, and B2B services. The SOTA framework and commercial fundamentals transfer across sectors. If your business has a marketing function and a growth target, we can almost certainly help.

Do you work alongside existing marketing agencies?

Absolutely. Many clients already have agencies when they bring Aberdino in. We assess whether those relationships are delivering value, manage them on your behalf where they are, and make recommendations where they are not. We are not here to replace good suppliers — we are here to make sure they are being used properly.

Can you help with hiring into the marketing team?

Yes. Hiring support is available as part of a retainer or transformation programme. This includes writing the role brief, defining the specialist structure the new hire will sit within, supporting the assessment process, and onboarding the individual into a structure set up for them to succeed.

What happens after the discovery call?

If there is a good fit on both sides, we send a written proposal within three business days. This covers the recommended engagement model, scope, timeline, and pricing. You review it, ask questions, and decide whether to proceed. There is no pressure and no follow-up sales process.

Will I be working with Nina directly?

Yes, always. Every Aberdino engagement is led personally by Nina Alexander. You will not be passed to a junior team member or subcontractor. The seniority you see on this website is the seniority you get in the room.

What size of business is Aberdino right for?

Typically SMEs and scale-ups with between 10 and 250 employees — businesses that have moved beyond the founder doing everything but are not yet at the stage where a full-time CMO is the right investment. If you have a marketing team and a growth ambition that is not being delivered, the conversation is worth having.

What if the engagement is not working?

We agree clear commercial objectives at the start of every engagement and review progress regularly. If something is not working, we will say so first and tell you why. Retainer engagements include a review point at the end of the first three months where either party can conclude the arrangement with proper notice.
